The Liebster Award

"The Liebster Award is for bloggers with under 300 followers and the rules of the award is that the nominee must link back to whoever awarded them, write 11 random facts about themselves, answer the 11 questions from the award giver, and then nominate another 11 bloggers and make up 11 questions for them to answer. It's a great way for new and undiscovered bloggers to meet new people, get more followers and find some blogs that they want to follow."

Thanks Gem for nominating me for the Liebster Award! Blog awards are always a nice way to discover new blogs..and of course you get the warm fuzzies because it means that somebody actually reads yours! ;)

1. What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
To be honest my memory is pretty shocking. I do remember in infant school wetting myself on a particularly long coach journey on a school trip and being togged up with gear from the school dressing up box when my mum came to get me. I don't wet myself on long journeys any longer thank goodness as you just can't trust that there'll be a handy dressing up box around!

2. What was your first job? Paper girl? I got my newspapers nicked once and I cried. Another time I couldn't do my round because I got shot in the arm with an air rifle. Ouch. My first grown-up job was as a waitress.

3. Your favourite word? Custard. It makes me giggle. I don't know why.

4. What do you hope to achieve this year? I'm aiming to be in better shape. Walking to work, sticking to a 90/10 rule veg/meat. Taking up yoga. Admittedly i've made a slow start!

5. What are your hobbies? Making jewellery. Making dolls. Reading. Taking photos. Blogging. Napping. I'm getting quite good at the last one!

6. Your happiest memory? Goodness me this is a tough one. Watching one of my best friends get married? Playing in the early evening on a hot summers day with my dad? Being in the beautiful stillness of Tah Prohm?

7. Favourite song and why? I'm a big fan of Black Velvet by Alannah Myles, it's my favourite karaoke song choice. And I absolutely love Hallelujah sung by Jeff Buckley. It's so hauntingly beautiful.

8. One thing that makes you angry? Other peoples laziness. Which is odd because I can be pretty darned lazy myself.

9. Your favourite smell? Bonfires.

10. One thing you couldn't live without? Books. Tea is a close second!

11. What was the last programme you watched on television? Poirot. I can't help it, I'm hopelessly addicted to Agatha Christie's funny little Belgian detective.
